Here at the Good Housekeeping Institute Textiles Lab, our Lab director Lexie Sachs, product analyst Emma Seymour lead testing for hundreds of bedding products year-round, from crib sheets to kid's mattresses as well as find the best bedding for adults and kids. When we evaluate bedding for boys and girls, we test factors such as fabric strength, shrinkage, softness, pilling as well as review feedback from a real consumer panel. Our picks below are kids' versions of top-tested items, recommendations based on our testing expertise, personal favorite places to buy or those that are highly rated and reviewed. Amazon Basics offers an assortment of kids' bedding such as sheets, comforters, quilts and bed-in-a-bag options all at an affordable price. They come in a ton of fun prints and colors and the sheets have gathered over 38,000 reviews and an average 4.7-star rating. 

When we tested the Amazon Basics adult sheets, they were extremely durable, hardly pilling, shrinking or wrinkling with a smooth feel, thanks to the polyester material. Given this, we feel comfortable recommending their bedding and sheets that are made out of the same material. Take note though, because these sheets are polyester, some testers thought they felt too flimsy rather than crisp like cotton.  

At times getting kids to want to go to bed can be a tricky task, but Sachs says, "My kids love the characters and themes of these sets, and it's made bedtime much easier!" Also as a parent, she appreciates that the characters are incorporated in a way that gives them a more modern aesthetic. 

The complete bed sets come with an organic cotton sheet set, pillowcase, duvet cover, sham and knit throw. However, you can also buy each piece separately if you want to mix and match or only need a few pieces.  One thing to note about the duvet, the buttons are spread pretty far apart which can leave some big gaps, and they have a tendency to come undone.

Parachute's Percale sheet set aced our tests for its lightweight crisp feel and excellent durability, which is a top pick not only in our adult sheets round-up but also for crib sheets as well since they use the same material. While they don't have percale sheets for beds with kid-friendly prints, they do have solid color options. 

Beyond sheets, the baby and kids collection carries pillow covers, quilts, baby blankets and shams in kid-inspired neutral tone prints that are minimalist and very on-trend. 

If you want to mix, match or layer your kid's bedding, Target has hundreds of options for sheets, comforters, quilts, blankets, throws, decorative pillows and even canopies to create the dreamiest bedding set.  

Some of the most popular bedding options include the Minecraft comforter and organic cotton sheets. Many bedding options are claimed to be OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means they are free from many known harmful substances. 

The Company Store's Legends Hotel Sateen Sheets snagged a top spot in our sheets test for their softness and durability, and the brand overall has done well in our testing. The organic percale bedding is also some of the most popular bedding at The Company Store. 

The kids' bedding comes in fun prints like "Wilderness Camp," "Little Gymnasts" and others as well as solid colors. Reviewers of the organic percale sheets say these are "excellent quality" and they would buy them again. They also said they feel fresh and crisp, thanks to the percale weave. 

Garnet Hill's flannel bedding has earned rave reviews on its website with a 4.6 rating from over 1,100 shoppers. Not to mention their wrinkle-resistant sateen bedding was a top performer in our sheets roundup for their superb smoothness, so we feel confident in their bedding. 

While the prints for kids are pretty limited, they have solid options and a best-selling vintage rocket ship print that glows in the dark, which will have your kids ready to blast off to bed. 

Ugg took their wildly popular slippers known for their cozy fabric and turned those materials into kids' bedding. This ultra snuggly collection has options for a 3-piece comforter set and sherpa pillows in dreamy shapes like stars, clouds or rainbows. 

This set is exclusive to Bed, Bath and Beyond and it's one of the most popular sets with nearly 140 glowing 5-star reviews. One shopper bought this for their child and says it's so thick and fluffy that their child says they feel like they're laying on a cloud. 

This bedding set comes with a reversible comforter making it easy to quickly refresh a room or if your child wants to change the comforter's look, all in one flip. The set includes a comforter, flat and fitted sheet, pillowcase and sham. 

It's highly rated on Amazon with over 7,400 perfect 5-star reviews, with one reviewer saying that their child loved their set so much they "jumped right into bed." The themes include popular Disney characters, music groups, and games such as Frozen, Black Pink and Minecraft.
