Your bed should be the ultimate comfort zone. The more comfortable you are, the more likely you feel relaxed and get a better night’s sleep. Beyond buying a good mattress, invest in a set of bamboo or Tencel lyocell sheets. These sheets feel silky smooth, are naturally cooling and are generally more sustainable than cotton.
Many brands make these types of sheets, but they often get pricey. That’s why it’s a big deal when they go on sale. This Labor Day weekend, you can save up to 70% on some of the most popular silky sheet sets from top brands.
Here are the top five silky sheet brands with sales:
Cozy Earth: Save up to 25% sitewide
ettitude: Save 20% on everything, and up to 70% on final sale items
West Elm: Get up to 70% off during the Warehouse Sale
Buffy: Get up to 35% off sitewide
Slumber Cloud: Get up to 50% off
Can’t decide which sheets to get? Check out this list of editor-tested and approved sheets to upgrade your bed this holiday weekend.
Cozy Earth Premium Bamboo Sheets are “the world’s softest sheets guaranteed,” according to the brand. Even Oprah backs up the claim. She named Cozy Earth’s sheets one of her favorite things in 2018 and called them “the softest bedding ever.” And the responsibly sourced fabric means these sheets are good for the planet. You may also be happy to know that they’re stain-resistant, hypoallergenic, temperature-regulating and machine-washable.
Ettitude is a brand rooted in sustainability, and its CleanBamboo sheets are a buttery soft sateen weave that feels like silk. According to the product description, they’re comparable to a cotton 1,000 thread count sheet. However, they use 500 times less water and produce 52% less CO2 than cotton sheets. Get them on sale in select colors and sizes this Labor Day weekend.
The eco-friendly fabric Tencel is what makes these sheets super soft. Tencel is a super breathable, absorbent fabric crafted with sustainably-sourced wood. According to the sheets’ product description, Tencel is “more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen.” They also have a 320 thread count, which is high enough to make them durable but not overly dense. (West Elm also sells a “brushed” version of these sheets, essentially just a more matte finish.)
Buffy’s cooling sheets feature a 300 thread count, sateen weave with TENCEL lyocell fibers. They’re on sale in white and in a range of pastel colors dyed naturally with turmeric, rose petals, bark and gardenia. In other words, they’re incredibly soft and sustainable.
These sheets feel silky soft, but they’re also extremely breathable and temperature-regulating. They have Slumber Cloud’s proprietary Outlast viscose fibers and Tencel lyocell moisture-wicking capabilities to keep you cooler at night.
